Meet the Therapist
Hi! I am Naa Adoley M. Pappoe - known to most simply as Naa, and I am glad you are here.
I am a psychotherapist with almost a decade of experience supporting the mental and emotional health needs of individuals, children, adolescents and families. I earned my Bachelor's in Psychology and French Studies from the University at Albany and my Master's in Social Work from Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. I am Licensed Social Worker in both NY and NJ states.
As a social work professional, I have provided supports in direct practice with diverse populations including: Child Welfare, Developmental Disabilities, Serious Emotional and Behavioral Disabilities, Medically Fragile, Traumatic Brain Injury and Geriatrics. I also have a significant background in providing crisis intervention and Intensive counseling services to children and families.
I specialize in helping women work through emotional and mental health challenges related to infertility, and the perinatal experience including pregnancy and postpartum periods; as well as a host of other issues related to and affecting women including: anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship and interpersonal issues.
My approach in working with you is centered around your individual journey. I utilize a combination of traditional talk therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness and Supportive therapy techniques, in partnering with you to find and nurture peace along your individual emotional and mental wellness journey.
To create a safe, and emotionally supportive space where women can work through the pain, stresses and struggles often associated with their fertility, pregnancy and postpartum journeys, as well as work through the stresses and challenges that impact their daily lives.
To create a holistic therapeutic experience that promotes healing, supports the finding and nurturing of peace, and fosters emotional and mental wellness.
